I like how they chose to use the most "Fine, fuck off then" lines from God Only Knows, too.

It's one of those Kingisms that can get really annoying really quickly, though.

And the little bits that the characters would not see and thus are obviously just for the viewer but because they're for the viewer it makes no fucking sense to put it in, like the corny fucking tombstone jesus, keep bouncing me right out of the experience.

The clown's Jedi mind trick is built into the fabric of things, implying it's odd Mike even remembers years later, but an awful lot of people seem pretty fucking aware of the clown here, in a "Hey, don't go in those woods" obvious kind of way

Or if the overall 'flavor' is just too different for me.

The clown's supposed to have the whole area in a mindfuck headlock that inclines people to turn away and forget/not see, a metaphor for shitty small town life, but right off the bat, nope - it's just shitty small town life!

Same here! :) I miss fic threads, and as much as I love the feed Eat the Rude & HEU feeds, they catch a LOT of stray unrelated stuff...
