This was the response to a rabbi asking Christians not to use Hebrew words for their institutions since it’s confusing for Jews trying to find Jewish institutions. And here I thought I wouldn’t get to use my old supersession meme.

I do enjoy these takes straight out of vintage Twitter. You can have your idiosyncrasies, but I don’t think eating sushi is an endorsement of Imperial Japan.

I’m a simple Jew. If I see an organization promoting someone who is known for publicly advocating for gunning Jews down in the streets, I immediately and permanently file them as “Nazis,” in my brain and never tolerate their existence in any group I deem legitimate.

Predictive text algorithms trained on human posts “discovering” religion isn’t particularly shocking; but also it seems like Junji Ito was right again.

If I truly believed this man was willing to listen, I would point out to him that the reason Jews get testy when people say Judaism is unnecessary is the 1,700 year history of people who say that trying to exterminate us (yes, even atheists; see: the USSR). But I don’t, hence the screenshot.

Fun fact: unlike congruent shapes, analogies don’t describe things that are entirely identical. They describe concepts with some similarities, often mentioned in the analogy itself. To critique an analogy based on something it doesn't refer to is useless. (1/2)

I am no longer 100% sure Ryan Grim doesn’t have a Sonnenrad back tattoo. I’m not saying he has one. Just that it’s weird for someone who doesn’t to get this defensive about these types of tattoos.

I think I might have an offensively centrist take on this one. There are actually people who refer to dogpiles on social media as a torment nexus, and have for a while. Also, that is very much not what the original “Torment Nexus” tweet was referring to.
