Balanced & reasonable assessment of why Disney likely cut ties with Doctor Who. No knee-jerk, reactionary polar views from fandom or the Daily Heil's reporting.

Signing the deal at the peak of streaming expansion before the bubble burst is particularly interesting.

Awww

So brilliant in everything and in later life so dignified in facing up her dementia with her sadly departed equally wonderful husband Timothy West.

Great to wake up to Halloween music and a quick overview of childhood terrors on 5Live with @scarredforlife.bsky.social

Nothing beats having traumas relived to start the day! 🤣

But... Skippy?!

PS I've never been able to sleep in a room with a ticking clock since summer 79 in case it stopped...

Well this made me smile. Then again two supermarkets ribbing each other on socials makes me smile.

Just visited a church in Prague.

I was a little surprised to see that before he moved to Devil's End, a certain renegade was putting a shift in here.

Seems quite fitting listening to the second volume of @bigfinish.bsky.social V series whilst travelling between Germany & Poland on a Holocaust / WW2 tour.

Great stuff from @eddierobson.bsky.social et al under the watchful eye of @jonnymorris.bsky.social

When's volume 3 coming? 😀

I'm guessing using a washing machine for cooking might be possible for a very watery soup or cleaning salad, but wouldn't want to try a baked potato or a Sunday Roast.

1) Deport individuals who've been here the years & set high income requirements for others.

2) See exodus of workers in care & health sectors.

3) Claim NHS is now a total failure.

4) Move to insurance based system.

5) Make millions from US contracts at the cost of UK citizens' well-being.

One for #DoctorWho fans.

Batley town centre is being revamped and apparently will be paying homage to the David Tennant story "Army of Ghosts".

We got our own version of 'Thursday Murder Club' on NITFLIX, but it called 'THE MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY MURDER CLUB'.
It about a bunch of elderly Ogrons living in a retirement home.
But it less about SOLVING murders and more about PLANNING them!😁

Waiting for The Roses to start, I thought "seems rather soon to do a remake of War of the Roses".

It was 1989... 36 years ago.

There were only 26 years between Universal's Frankenstein & Hammer's Curse of Frankenstein.

Or from another perspective, I was still at University and now I've retired.

I almost fell out of love with Doctor Who after season 17.

Season 18 under an energetic JNT and a focused script editor in Christopher H Bidmead brought it back for me.

I loved Bidmead's vision and his stories. Logopolis remains in my top 10 of all time.

Farewell.

The deluxe editions coming out of Hammer - Captain Kronos, Quatermass, and now Curse of Frankenstein are really some of the best sets of anything out there.

Scrolling through Reels and up pops a very serious looking man of around my age. He raises his hand and wiggles a finger and says "there's NOTHING worse than tight socks".

Hmmm, I suspect there might just be.

Unexpected graffiti as I strip the hall way back to the plaster.

It is *probably punk culture embracing the "shock" use of a swastika rather than a genuine Nazi thing. It did shock me... it was the first part I saw!

Then again I wonder if there was a builder called Nigel in Meltham c92?
