Here are my initial sketches for his new design. My main goal was to swap from the frog theme to a bat theme but in the process he became a sort of Chimera with the ability to modify his features through magic. I think he's very cute

This illustration was done with alcohol marker and colored pencils by the way! I was testing out the paper in this sketchbook to see how much ink it can handle before it bleeds, and the answer is a lot!

It's a shame that none of these ever got selected for the fanart showcase, but in hindsight, simple portraits like these aren't particularly inspiring. They also set back my artistic development a bit since I was so focused on faces. I still struggle with drawing bodies...

These are my 2020 Mighty Nien portraits and the last ones I did since the campaign ended before I felt the need to draw them again. These are the first set of these that I still think look good.

Second half of the last batch, this was my first Caduceus, and my Worst Fjord. He's so... twinky. Eugh.

Heres the rest of the Mighty Nien and also a screenshot of the original tweets. I distinctly remember drawing these before the Mollymauk Incedent. So the rest of my fanart of him (there's a lot) will take on a distinctly different vibe from this.

This batch of portraits is from 2018, and at the time, my only goal was to get featured in the fanart compilation during the half-hour break back when they still did that sort of thing.
