Let’s be honest here, I’m just posting ramblings, but if you’re lucky, you might see pics of my cat, food, fiber art.

If you want to follow me, fine, but don’t get mad when we get lost.

C just reminded me of my whole mermaid questions I had weeks ago.

Are mermaids saltwater, or freshwater?

I remembered they're saltwater because of Splash. Madison draws a bath and gets the table salt from the kitchen cabinet. Then I wondered how she knew about table salt.

Anyway . . .

SCOOP — Gregg Phillips, a conspiracy theorist with no emergency management experience who helped produce the election-denying documentary ‘2000 Mules’ with Dinesh D’Souza and has faced numerous legal inquiries, has been named head of FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery.

My story:
Conspiracy theorist election denier given FEMA’s second-most important role
Gregg Phillips will lead the Office of Response and Recovery, “the heart of what FEMA does.”

UPDATE — For those who want to help, there’s now a way to donate directly to the 7500 South Shore Tenants Union to help with emergency relocation costs as residents “vacate in one of the snowiest winters in Chicago’s history.”

Details in our story.

What gets me is people use ai for things that already exist!!! they aren't even creating something like a new kind of being for a sci-fi movie, or whatever--they shouldn't even use it then, but using it to make a picture of a panda or something is just plain stupid and lazy.
*whispers* stop reposting AI images you guys

I finally bought a tin of these back in 2019 I think, because I wanted to finally eat these damn cookies.

They're okay?

It's basically the same cookie, just in different shapes, and one has pearl sugar on top (or was it sanding sugar?) Anyway, last time I bought some was at World Market.
Everyone's Gram got one of these jawns packed with buttons and knicknacks but the cookies themselves are fire and don't get nearly enough love. $5 for this tin at Food 4 Less. Baller time.

I almost forgot, I'm making something for my vegan friends.

So, that goes onto the list.

Lists never end, do they?
December 9, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Of course, I could make a financier instead of a cookie. 🤔
December 9, 2025 at 11:26 PM
I've changed this list a few times now, and now that I tink I've finalized most of the cookies, I see that I need another chocolate cookie because I changed the other cookies and I need a different texture.

I feel like opening a bottle of red wine. Let me get a couple more things done first.

Also, I probably should have a plan for dinner.

2 knives down, 2 more to go

might even do the paring knives, or might wait for tomorrow.

One knife down as I wait for this stuff to cool enough to handle.

Okay, after this third blanching of the fruit, and when I cut out the seeds, cut them into pieces and drown them in sugar, I'll go for my walk.

I saw that "introduce yourself with 5 concerts you've been to" a few days ago, but I forgot to participate, so I'm going to tell you something musical about me.

First concert: Teena Marie, Rick James, & George Clinton

A concert regret: never getting to see Michael Jackson

Well, women have been raising kids for--well, since time began--without it, but somehow for men, they just cannot fathom.

How do they do it?

I wonder how much parenting he actually does.

Stacey was absolutely chewing. Our mistrust of institutions is not paranoia, it is history. But math does not lie, and a disturbing amount of the “deficits/falsehoods” people claim about Black people are not truths, they’re narratives put forth by agents of white supremacy.
