I think about his little melancholic smile here often, when he’s talking to Rimbaud & I think about him a little older with that same type of smile talking to the flags graves. Or talking to Murase’s grave. He’s lost so much & deserves so much better, i love him dearly

I still think about how in WAN Chuuya’s first reaction here is to reassure Atsushi that they’ll be fine, that he’s been through much worse than this.

Dazai’s face here always gets me bc the simplicity of Atsushi saying “yes it looks like you’re visiting a grave” seems to surprise him. Like he can’t see someone seeing him as a person who would care enough to visit a grave. This followed by his confession of his past & “just kidding” #bsd #dazai
