I hope what we saw from 8 bodes well for the future. The offense has been fairly stalled since the Munich game. We won’t be able to count on Own Goals and PKs to win title(s). Getting the back line healthy will help these late concessions we’ve been having also.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Finally great to see him ripping shots from the edge of the 18. That unlocks stuff for the offense.

He’d been searching for a BS foul all match too.

Good lord way too close

This was a critique that the team took too long to get his transfer done and the main team reporters covered for them because it was about 3 weeks altogether BUT he sat out Sporting’s preseason training and was going to be eased in to the team with Kai starting. Kai’s injury derailed that approach.

We’re everyone’s Super Bowl. Particularly annoying when you see what Sunderland does against us and then folds like a soggy tortilla chip today against City.

This is where I’ve been getting heartburn. It’s been about a year since we said “when we’re healthy, we’re a force”. But as soon as someone gets set to return, another one goes out and it’s been maddening.

Yeah and Merino has been good on the receiving end of those crosses but man it sure looked like fatigue was in there today.

Do you think Kai is on the end of that Declan cross late? Incredible ball in and no one was there.

Get well soon Timber and Gabby.

Oh yeah the theatrics are obnoxious and it seems like he’s been doing it more and more too. That Brentford dive from Wednesday comes to mind immediately.
December 6, 2025 at 2:09 PM
Yeah I think he’s a square-hole, round-peg situation. He was brought in the platoon the midfield but with all of the injuries, he’s been pressed into working in other positions. Once Havertz and Jesus are back, I’ll be curious to see how they use him going forward then.
December 6, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Yeah he’s a more natural fit to sub in for Odegaard. But you see Tossard come in and the offense is totally energized again. I’m also seeing a lot of fatigue in that front line too. Merino looked gassed and I don’t blame him.

It’s crazy how the left side has been an issue and they’ve tried out so many options to juice it up and it’s still most of the offense has to be up the right side.
