An interesting product question. The attached screenshot adds more friction to the Google Places review process. Do we think this will result in more or less bots vs humans. h/t @gsterling

Experimenting w/ a new wkly session w/ my PMs where we collaboratively do product teardowns or discuss a product decision some company made or other. It's been fruitful. Not sure, if this will level-up product sense but I will continue to report.

A good example of the friction that comes w so many products and trying to make everything interplay. I want to upgrade to Gemini Advanced. This should be one-click but instead I’m taken to this screen and then asked to click to help article :/

A neat visualization. Just in case, regression is predicting numbers and classification is predicting categories.

Wild, experienced my first take-down on a syndicated post to Threads for the attached. Clearly the automated system doesn't like something in this post, am curious what.

There are windows for exits. Fortunately, StackOverflow took their exit in 2021.

Interesting callout in this @aiDotEngineer talk summary. Coding and support, so far, seem to be the two categories showing PMF with AI agents. h/t @matijagrcic

Neat to see Acrobat now has a chatbot at the bottom of their PDF Viewer app if you want to ask Qs about the PDF

Fascinating to see Google make NotebookLM a core part of Google Apps. Rare to see them promote a project so quickly into the core dashboard.

TIL, Spirit Airlines uses a bidding system (auction) for better seats. Definitely innovative.

The bot reg problem is real. Increasingly seeing Goog & Apple login methods or email w OTP otherwise Recaptcha v4 but determining the threshold is tricky & will adversely impact reg rate for legit users.

Every productivity player ultimately wants to own the suite. I've told startups to find icons that belong in the GApps Dashboard as an insertion point but ultimately you will have to build them all or get acquired. Seeing Zoom add Docs along with Mail and Calendar last year is as expected.

Had no idea that these brands were rolled-up into one co and that Symantec as a consumer brand no longer exists!

Recall like a Rewind AI is now avail on Windows natively. Also a call-out, when an incumbent enters a space, it often boosts the startup as they educate the market and more but some consolidate and some survive standalone (eg Dropbox).

A case study of disruptive tech paired with a deep understanding of human behavior. Although Waymo’s have cabin cameras, most would avoid the mental energy of having a physical driver that can see and may speak to you.
