So... how do you have a book with magical trials when the trials themselves are the most lackluster part of the story?
Yeah this was giving a solid MEH out of 5.
I did like Blackwell though! He was a charming MMC. Setting was cool too. But... that's about it.

13% into Throne of Secrets by Kerri Maniscalco and I can’t see myself continuing it further.
This was giving me ✨nothing✨ and I think has been making my reading slump worse. So instead of torturing myself, I am dropping it.
