not stocking bulk ssds earlier might be one of the most expensive mistakes i ever made, but lets see. we can still hope for things getting better in the end of 2026. and all because of ai bullshit. hard to not get bitter about this tbh.

not yet clear to me if we'll be able to offer 32gb models in 2026. firefly weren't clear if they get any more of the chips at all or if it'll be just very expensive

also increased ssd prices in our shop now, to hedge against the uncertainty of the next months. you can always opt for no ssd and bring your own, of course.

this is an upgrade from rp2040 to rp2350, and possible to convert to a standalone (with built-in automatic 5v->3v3 converter), either wired or bluetooth, with it's own built-in battery charger

@chaosresearchparty not close to release at all because the whole bringup still has to be done... assuming the hardware is ok, all drivers have to be validated. probably @cas knows more about mainline status of 8550.
