ai is going well!
i used paypal assistant in the paypal app to ask if i can use the same phone number/bank account if i open a new account. the answer goes off the rails into an endless loop repeating countless hyperlinks to paypal websites the animation got slower and slower but would have gone on and on if i hadn't closed the app

made an unfortunate mistake with the pinout of this last minute part number changed GPIO chip, so had to deadbug it 😵‍💫

just replaced the internal HDMI to eDP adapter of the Reform Next laptop (in my hand) with a much simpler direct eDP adapter (on the right in the picture, using native eDP capability of RK3588 on the same pins). worked at first try incl devicetree change […]

testing idle (pack disconnected from mainboard) power draw on MNT Reform Next battery back, by splicing Nordic Power Profiler Kit 2 between one of the cells and the rest of the pack. currently 171 microamps average, that's fine i think

Command Menu 2's GUI editor for configuring a custom menu. you can also edit a JSON file instead. the result: a light bulb icon + menu in my top bar labeled "Lights" with a dropdown menu with 4 entries for light colors that i configured

pocket reform module with many kailh switches that don't have keycaps on, and pink rgb leds shining through them. the trackball cup is open (no ball inserted) and you can see the optical sensor.

recently @sad_electronics contributed this little adapter design which turns MNT Pocket Reform keyboard+trackball modules into standalone USB-C devices! very useful for testing, hacking, unbricking or reuse of the module.

- 1.2v ldo removed (optional)
- 3.3v 22uF cap placed again (had to go initially because of mechanical interferfence with 1 battery plug)
- 10k pulldown […]
