Trump in 2020: We have to go by the laws. We can't move in the National Guard. I can call insurrection but there's no reason to ever do that, even in a Portland case.
We can't call in the National Guard unless we're requested by a Governor.

Hard to imagine any long-term solutions to our political morass without involving education. That is, we need to stop reducing its purpose to accumulation of facts and skills to facilitate job hunting and begin to revive and honor its moral aspect whereby we nurture human decency and community.

It feels good to get from under Musk and his X. It will be more challenging to maintain mental balance after the election and figure out how the country can agree to put MAGA behind us.
