I wish router/firewall-level adblocking was more effective. It would be nice to be able to just make your entire network an ad-free zone. But nope, everything comes from the same CDNs so the only way to block ads is by doing it on a per-page basis. Ugh.

Money troubles suck, no need to apologize. Especially once you pick up interest-bearing debt. The whole world is just designed to extract cash from people who need it the most.

If you've got a craft store near you, go look for a UV resin pen kit. It's not a particularly pretty fix but it can delay the multi-hundred-dollar bill by a few months.
I ran a pair of resin-repaired glasses for ~4 months when I was unemployed in 2020.
