Surely other people have come to this conclusion already, I was just thinking about it this morning

no one’s been saying how much they love their Ford Focus, and I’m… not either - it’s a decent car but the turn radius for mine (2014 hatchback) is way too wide for its size. just a fun fact!!! probably not helpful, sorry!

But fortunately there are lots of good ways to enjoy things and I absolutely don’t think it ruins the show to know how it ends before you watch it! I’m just nostalgic. And there will be so many future theatre kids whose first experience of Wicked will be after both movies are out. That’s cool too.

It just bums me out a little that anyone whose first interaction with Wicked was the movie (and it’s a significant number of people!) has to avoid spoilers for a year to get that same kind of payoff. Which seems unlikely as well as unsatisfying.

Obviously the show is 20 years old and the book it’s based on is older, and my husband doesn’t care about spoilers anyway? But like, the first time I saw Wicked onstage, I’d listened to the soundtrack RELIGIOUSLY, but I didn’t know the synopsis and was still surprised by the twists
