I tried a different combo this time. Chopped onion, egg, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil. Usually I don't put in the Italian seasoning type herbs. I also left out Worcestershire sauce which I usually add.

I found out a year or two ago that the majority of people add salt to ground beef when making hamburger patties. I had never heard of such a thing. My mom never did so I never did.

We don't salt much food. But I have recently discovered that I like to salt the water when cooking potatoes for mashed potatoes. And of course I use extra when I make a margarita. 😂😂

I don't think it ever goes bad. It's just a mineral. It may clump if it gets moisture in it but other than that it should never go bad.
