There is no academic freedom at universities while they fund genocide and support the military industrial complex when conducting the “normal” politics of academia means legitimizing and/or intellectually or financially contributing to these institutions.

Queer kids lose their innocence when forced to navigate a world made hostile and dangerous to them, and their peers lose their innocence when parents, schools, and politicians deputize them to maintain that hostility. Transphobia threatens the innocence of all children.
