This is performative nonsense. There’s no reason to believe Minneapolis schools are in any greater danger from guns tomorrow than literally any other city in the state. This speaks volumes, though. We’ve given up on gun proliferation, so all we have are symbolic acts.
We’re deploying state law enforcement personnel to support public safety efforts around schools and places of worship in Minneapolis.
I’m grateful to our State Patrol and DNR officers stepping up to give residents every reassurance that their families and children are safe.

Jacob Frey’s shameless pandering is catching up to him. On a leaked fundraising call, the PAC supporting him shared with donors that they would be targeting “older voters and Black voters across the city.” 5 days later, well…he certainly did that.
