I still refuse to call DCA by the Reagan name. He fired all the air traffic controllers. It's still National Airport to me and cab and LYFT drivers take me there when I ask to go to National.

He was an energetic kitten, and still has zoomies at 10. Plus all our cats from that era had comic book names. Earlier Generation of pets were Jazz greats (e.g. cats Jellyroll and Satchmo.) Cyclone's 14 year old partner is Nemesis.

I remember fondly early years of my professional career when colleagues lunched together over brown bags, talked, laughed, shared work experiences, & got to know each other. Later I "stalked" my senior Manager in the cafeteria for chance mentor moments. Before I retired lunch had disappeared.

I had measles, mumps, and chicken pox as a child before vaccines (born 1946). I have a smallpox vaccination scar. But my adult children don't because it had been eradicated in US before they were born

My mother almost died of the flu in 1918 when she was 11. My friend's sister had polio in the early 1950s. I was a "polio pioneer" when my elementary school was in the clinical trials for the Salk vaccine. I got the placebo and had to get the shots again when the vaccine was approved.
