Hearing people talk about this makes me so happy. I've been conscious about my burnout for the last 6 years or so, but the repercussions of ignoring my limits is something I've struggled with my whole life.
i often get complimented on how productive i am, but the reality is that i am VERY, VERY careful about preserving my energy. i haven't worked past 5-6 o clock in years. i take breaks. i get as much sleep as i feel like i need. i ask for deadline extensions. i go out when people invite me
