Wonder if they'll contact Lance Lynn again and improve their earlier offer he apparently turned down. Know he doesn't have the best reputation, but he's a very experienced SP and the Cubs need one now.

(2) They need to see if Matt Waldron, Randy Vasquez, and Jhony Brito can capably fill the rotation holes. Maybe even consider Hoening and/or Moreǰon as starting pitchers.

Need to get Arraez and King inked to multi-year deals, and re-up Profar. Trade Cease and Suarez (IMO either Adam or Estrada can be the closer) for both prospects to replenish the farm system and current MLB pitchers w/multiple yrs left on their deals. Then get a DH and SS on minor-league deals.

...is likely going to go ahead as scheduled. But I wish common sense would take priority - most folks would say now is not the time for something that's frankly trivial in life's big picture to take place in New Orleans.
