Still experimenting with this Peach (Mario 1?) redraw. Redid the castle rescue scene.
Mario sprite is now optimized for 3 colors, plus transparency. Updated the HUD. Game had no item slot, but there was space. Mockup is NES accurate, but likely needs fixes.

Phenomenal game btw! Impressive how they were able to make such relatable characters and balance the funnies with absolutely heart-wrenching scenes. On another note, I never really thought I'd see myself as an aroace person represented in media really, but here it is! And it makes me really happy!
