Who Sharted?
@mlbwhosharted.bsky.social
New to Bluesky, have been tracking the Quantity Shart stat on social media since 2013. Yet another Xitter refugee.
Nestor Cortes's start also qualified as his 2nd career Explosive Diarrhea, is now in a 556-way tie for 1,043rd place on the all-time ED list. Coming in his 87th career start, his ED rate is now 2.30%. His last ED was on 8/14/2020. He is the 102nd @brewers.com pitcher to earn one.

Beau Brieske's appearance also qualified as his 1st career Arse Fire, making him the 716th MLB pitcher and the 35th @tigers.bsky.social pitcher to earn one. Welcome to the bigs, Beau!

Most PTTs, at least 1 in the 2020s: Mitch Keller, Merrill Kelly, Dallas Keuchel, Robbie Ray, 2 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:36 PM
Also added a category for starters that I called "Polish That Turd," which is a Quantity Shart where the pitcher gets the Win. Leaders: John Lackey, Esteban Loaiza, Jack Morris - 5 each; Jon Garland, Woody Williams - 4 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:35 PM
Most Arse Fires with at least one in the 2020s: Carlos Estevez and David Robertson, 4 each, 8 tied with 3 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:28 PM
Then I came up with the "Arse Fire," which is the same criteria as a Bullshit, but also in a save opportunity. Leaders:

Danys Baez, Sean Doolittle, Todd Jones, Troy Percival - 6 each
Trevor Hoffman, Jim Johnson, Carlos Marmol, Lindy McDaniel, Jake McGee - 5 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:26 PM
Leaders in Bullshits:

1. Bryan Shaw, 12
T2. Jim Johnson, 11
T2. Todd Jones, 11
T2. Mike Stanton, 11

Leaders with at least one in the 2020s:

1. Bryan Shaw, 12
T2. Tyler Kinley, 10
T2. Joakim Soria, 10
4. Jake McGee, 9

Somewhere along the way, I decided I needed something for relievers. So came along the "Bullshit": 0.2 IP or less, 4 ER or less. Because that is 1 out fewer and 1 ER more than is required for a "standard" Save.
November 10, 2024 at 3:18 PM
And our final starters category, the "Colon Blow," requires at least 9 ER, with 1 IP or less. Exceedingly rare. Leaders here are: Bronson Arroyo, Jeremy Guthrie, and Charlie Morton, 2 each. There have only been 34 such starts since 1912, when Earned Runs became an official stat.

Rectum Rocket leaders with at least one in the 2020s: Patrick Corbin, J.A. Happ, Zach Plesac, Garrett Richards, Carlos Rodon - 2 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:08 PM
Then there are the real quick hitters. Who can give up 6 ER while recording just 1 IP or less? We call that a "Rectum Rocket," and the leaders are:

1. Bob Forsch, 5
T2. Denny Galehouse, Burleigh Grimes, Lynn McGlothen, Roger Pavlik, Don Sutton, Mike Torrez - 4 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:05 PM
Leaders in Shartnados with at least one in the 2020s:

Chase Anderson, Patrick Corbin, Anthony Desclafini, Nathan Eovaldi, Jack Flaherty, Lucas Giolito, Austin Gomber, Chad Kuhl - all with 2 each
November 10, 2024 at 3:01 PM
The very existence of a category for 9 ER in 6 IP or less demanded a category for 9 ER in 3 IP or less, dubbed the "Shartnado." Leaders:

1. Bronson Arroyo, 4
2. Ricky Nolasco, 3
38-way tie with 2 each.

Tyler Anderson, 3
Lucas Giolito, 3
Austin Gomber, 3
Derek Holland, 3
Chad Kuhl, 3
German Marquez, 3
