There’s something deeply satisfying about finishing a project.

12” x 14”, hand sewn of a lovely soft rough-out leather with natural veg tan handles and a magnetic closure.

Roman kerning? Shame they couldn't get a decent artisan for the pope's tomb…

A few bits of garbage are all that’s left of the camp by the entrance to the park.

@joeycoleman.ca pump truck burning on Sherman by Main. Fire (P6) just arrived.

Wee bit of prototyping today - 4-card wallet with a cash slot that opens on the top & side for easy access.

Need to adjust the pocket depths a little and tweak the stitch placement but generally pleased with the pattern.

Time to launch that online store?

@joeycoleman.ca looks like someone in roads is on Bluesky and has a sense of humour/irony 🤣

Bike lanes plugged on purpose both ways at Holton.

@joeycoleman.ca one more for the list… lovely show of commitment to safe school routes. At Sherman/Delaware.

@joeycoleman.ca some brilliant work by the city’s snow crew. Here’s a cracker at St Giles (Main/Holton) - sidewalk snow ploughed into a pile blocking the intersecting sidewalk.
February 14, 2025 at 1:59 PM
And why would they clear the sidewalks outside the park, anyway?
February 13, 2025 at 6:21 PM
My bad. Entrances are clear if you drive here. But walking in? Pfft.
February 13, 2025 at 6:18 PM
And they themselves will do stuff like this at Gage Park. Clear paths inside, untouched snow blocking the ways in.

A couple of hours of cooking on my birthday was well worth it… lasagne from scratch. Yum yum.

Actually a decent printer. This seems to have a clearer parental claim.

This week’s project: game ball wallets, made with leather from a Wilson ‘Official Game Ball’ (in this case autographed by Todd Sauerbrun).

Step 1: disassemble…

It’s a good weekend to work on the smallest journal size I’ll be offering… held closed by your pen/pencil.
January 5, 2025 at 2:30 PM
This was a fun commission - colleague was eager to own a traveller’s journal and, learning I make leather goods, was thrilled to engage in co-designing one to suit her tastes.

Hand-dyed, veg tanned, as always.

Need something made?
