basically every teacher you ask will agree with me: that since ChatGPT the mere existence of 21st century electronics makes education completely dysfunctional. No phones, no Chromebooks. If I could remove the whiteboard and get to my actual chalkboard I would
actually the best solution would be to just ban electronics for minors and go back to entirely pencil and paper classrooms. there’s a reason I basically only assign pencil/paper assignments in class but still, they have the phones
honestly since the advent of chat gpt the existence of teaching as a profession is functionally pointless besides institutionalizing children for several hours per day. I don’t even really enforce cell phone policy even if I could get the front office to pick up the phone for this very reason
