As far as I understand, they actually update the existing game, so the breaking your game part is free, you don't have any chance to opt out. I should point out that this only would hurt people who use certain mods, but modding is pretty popular so it seems like a lot of players were effected.

Cyclopean II: The Dreamlands is the much anticipated follow up to Cyclopean: The Great Abyss. An old school CRPG in the vein of Ultima, Questron and Legacy of the Ancients, based on H.P. Lovecraft's Dream Cycle. #PitchYaGame#CRPG#Lovecraft store.steampowered.com/app/3998510/...
Wishlist Cyclopean II: The Dreamlands! Maybe I will produce some more finished looking screenshots in the near future. The level design process is filled with weird little artifacts, that I am too tired to explain.
Inside the level editor, the display does not show transparent sprites, hence the weird white blocks. When it runs the game these will be transparent and will look more natural.

Ah, yes I see it more clearly at the beginning of the video. The second two overworld scenes feel like they are just going in a straight line. But the first one I can clearly see they are being controlled/changing direction.
In any case it look great!

Honestly I think X did a better job at keeping me connected to the other developers. I often feel people who I regularly would have interacted with are not present here, but then I look them up and they are really active. It could be just having to get used to the way things work here.
