Canadian band The Weather Station live in Munich on Europe tour. A truly inspiring and emotional experience. Not only does the lead Tamara Lindeman have a wonderful voice but she is indeed a fantastic lyricist. The band is amazing, too. Crossing genres, they are excellent live.

2024 - first time India for a business trip. Short, but felt like a long journey. So many new impressions! A culture I only got familiar with via calls with colleagues. Felt good to get in touch with the reality of others.

2010 - we went to Hyatt Park Hotel, where Lost in Translation was filmed. A small pot of tea was almost 20$. With student budget we stayed extra long. Until the clouds open for this gorgeous sunset. Was worth the money :)

2012, One of many empty houses in northern Italy near Lago Maggiore, hidden away in the valleys. Families moved away. Without jobs, little reason to stay there. But despite the abandonment, a bit of warm, homely light.

2009 - stayed at a train station hostel. It was actually very quiet! Few trains. Remember lovely conversations with the owners and a family from London. At the village pub we talked contemporary music and naming their daughter Naima, after John Coltrane's song.

2009 - I only had a cheap 100 Euro Canon consumer camera. Even though it struggled a lot, macros looked lovely. My friend was patiently waiting until I was done searching the forest floor for nice patches of moss. Took a while.
