This is one of my traditions for the Xmas-NYE period - watching Doukyuusei/Classmates. It's a beautiful, coming-of-age movie from 2016 (Japanese, animated). The way this is animated, it feels like a moving painting. I never get tired of it.

It's a pretty tin box filled with tea, right? Well, it turns out my grandparents got it at some point but never opened it. We just found it when unpacking stuff.

This was the first movie I'd seen before its' official debut. Within hours of landing in NYC on my b-day, I was at 92NY for an event (the screening + interview with Pam and Gia Coppola). 2nd time seeing Pam live, & the movie is solid&at times heartbreaking. Doubt it'll bring her an Oscar, though.
