More than one person said S's sign was the best one at the protest. (Continue to hope it rains on the parade this afternoon.) One guy looked at mine and said I should have used "delendam." (How many Romans?, I guess. Plural! Plural!)

To quote @bradleywhitford.bsky.social in that one episode of The West Wing: "YOU THINK?!!?"

The comma in this post completely changes the meaning of what WDC shareholders did. (It was the proposal--not the shareholders--that requested the company sever its relationship with HRC.) #copyediting

Both these items in the @washingtonpost.com could perfectly reasonably have used the words "falsely" or "lied." (I've read both articles and appreciate what I suppose they think is the nuance, and I stand by my assertion.)

Just as I was thinking "Is there any chance any of these expletives don't get approved," a Lucy-holding-the-football glimmer of hope

This has been in my refrigerator for a couple of weeks and I just noticed the "oh yes" bit this morning. I am very upset

Going in a blue mailbox on Saturday: 500 postcards handwritten by me. If you're in Ohio and you get one, hi! Please vote!

It's hard to see here, but the relevant text is not just purple but sparkly. I'm going to have to find a new source for 12" pillow forms.

Been toying w/ the idea of getting a small HEPA filter for my office, and clicking through images to see how big various options are, at first I was slightly bugged that it's always Mom who's playing with the kid while Dad smiles benevolently but then I realized THIS FAMILY SHOULD HAVE FLED DAYS AGO

Last time! My husband asked why I'd replaced the H instead of the I in the censored version, and the answer of course was because the I was only two columns wide and an asterisk wouldn't fit. But anyway, here's one more option. www.stitchfiddle.com/en/c/sflpcq-...

(a) I've updated the setting so anyone can make their own copy of the chart and edit at will!
(b) Here, how about @s - I'll probably do the second one facing the same way as the first but I agree they're better than the asterisks in any event. www.stitchfiddle.com/c/sflqh8-75b...

If, like me, your plan is to stitch this on a cushion, here's a reverse with slightly less profanity. Also gives me the chance to shout out @randimason.bsky.social and @anamariecox.bsky.social properly. www.stitchfiddle.com/c/sflqad-5wj...

www.stitchfiddle.com/c/sflsgy-824... ! (I haven't unlocked the half $titch 🙄 so I put it in as a backstitch in that square, but (a) I intend it to be a half stitch and (b) people making the thing should adapt it however they want.)
