Had I fully known what this one was about I don’t know that I would’ve picked it up (not sure magic realism is my thing) but that’s kind of the point of working my way through a list of classics: to branch out and read things I normally wouldn’t. Good book! #booksky #reading #beloved

I like to think I’m outdoors-ish. I like some hiking, but mostly I like just being outside. For example, today I just read on a blanket under a tree for a while and that was lovely.

I’ve been to a lot of Portland Timbers games but I don’t think I’ve been to one against the Seattle Flouders.

Seems like a good time to start this. East of Eden was one of my favorite reads of 2024 so I’m excited to check out more of Steinbeck’s work.

Switched it up with a memoir as my last read. I saw a train on my run today and couldn’t help but think about Carrot’s descriptions about hitching rides on them. I don’t think I’ll look at freight trains the same again, and that’s pretty cool.
