Canadian Jean-Marc Doiron ran yesterday’s Toronto Waterfront Marathon while juggling every step of the way, with only one drop, in 3:01:57. He was on pace to break the joggling marathon Guinness World Record of 2:50:12 through the half in 1:23 but faded with muscle cramps. Amazing effort.

Just finished reading WATER BORNE by my old journalism school pal Dan Rubinstein. Terrific read about the power of “blue space” that will make you laugh, cry and think. Bonus: there’s a mention of my joggling marathon record in there.

Around this date 20 years ago, my wife looked at our credit card bill and wondered why there was a charge of $80 for juggling balls. I broke the news that I had decided to train to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest joggling marathon.

The driver had to jump the curb on Gerrard, manoeuvre between two bollards and then drive fast enough down what is clearly a pedestrian walkway to hit four people before speeding away.

These running socks are now 25 years old. I’ve put about 25,000km on them, including 37 marathons and several Guinness World Records. I wrote an ode to them for their longevity in @canadianrunning.bsky.social… in 2013! Best $10 I’ve ever spent.

My wife and I got pulled over by the police on our two-person e-bike last weekend. The officer told us it’s illegal for two people to ride on a bike, which is not true (only if your bike is not designed to carry a passenger).
