The Dancing Men was the first Holmes short story I read and I’m fond of it. I think he’ll enjoy seeing Lee and Cushing (he already knows about them), but there’s a lot of tension and thrills in Hammer that you don’t always get in Granada.

I loved Musgrave too. I haven’t seen many of the episodes in a long time, so not sure how he’d react to them.

Nice choices. Blue Carbuncle is quite sweet, although I never think of it as one of my favourites.

I’ve read a couple of essays on Christianity in Wind in the Willows. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn chapter from the book has a beautifully mystical tone.
