Isn’t bailouts a form of socialism. I thought Republicans were against socialism.

So what Miller is saying is that immigrants are smarter than Americans? I am a Canadian and I would agree with that judging by the 77 million that voted for this awful regime.

You are right, Joe Walsh. If only Republicans could see what they look by others from outside the country. The current US administration doesn’t look good regarding anything they’re doing. Opinions about them are not at all positive.

Really tired of seeing headlines telling Democrats how they need to change in order to gain more support when every despicable thing or headline of what the Trump admin and GOP are doing should be wakeup calls. Those headlines write themselves and shd be wake up calls. I have stopped watching CNN.

I wish the media would do a tutorial over and over again on social media and cable TV on exactly who is paying the tariffs. It is a Consumer tax and it seems most people in the US do not understand that. Trump’s tantrum is so beneath the office he occupies.

Canada is diversifying, finding new global partners. Wait until US needs our aluminum to build in the US because US does not produce enough. Wait until US farmers need our potash for fertilizer which they need to grow crops. Canada won’t be interested in making trade deals with an unstable partner.

The real risk to Canada will be the CPC leadership/voters if after their review they reinstate Polievre as their leader when his Ottawa riding and the rest of the country dismissed him last April. AND, if these conservative voters do not recognize PP’s playbook and damage being done in the US.

Much happier being a Canadian, living in a democracy, headed by a government that is measured in its response to Trump, thoughtful in understanding how to manage the relationship with the US, wise enough to know how to position Canada’s economy to mitigate the risks of being too tied to US.

Canada here….with what Trump is doing re tariffs and pulling car manufacturing into the US, how many Canadians are going to buy American Built Cars. We already won’t travel to the US, we are pulling US alcohol off our shelves, and boycotting US made products. We will buy Canadian.

Glad that the Ontario government placed this ad in US markets to raise the awareness of the negative impacts tariffs have on the US and the global market. Educating GOP voters so they understand what tariffs really are and the economic harms they create. Protectionist policies don’t work out well.

Ontario government highlighting what GOP voters need to hear…..from Reagan’s lips to their ears. Will GOP get the message now re tariffs. Or will they continue to support the dismantling of the US one East Wing block at a time.
October 24, 2025 at 1:57 PM
When will GOP voters wake up and realise what’s really going on. The US does not need democrats to have better messaging. There is no better messaging out there than for Americans to watch and understand the daily debacle presided over by President dictator and the incredible damage being done.

Canada is looking past the US with respect to trade deals….other countries would appear more stable to Canada and Canada to them. In the long run, the US is risking being left behind on the global stage. No one will want to rely on US, no one will feel safe visiting the US, no one will trust the US.
October 24, 2025 at 1:22 PM
The sooner we in Canada can put more distance in the trade relationship between Canada and the US, the better off Canada will be.There is no negotiating with your president/dictator.

Republicans just can’t handle the truth. And will not acknowledge that the US is ‘burning’ down while Trump fiddles.

You want the truth…..republicans can’t handle the truth. So instead, the US will burn down while Trump fiddles.

Trump is virtually positioning Vought to take the fall re this lockout and Project 2025 because US citizens should know by now what eventually happens to those in Trump’s orbit.
