Canada is diversifying, finding new global partners. Wait until US needs our aluminum to build in the US because US does not produce enough. Wait until US farmers need our potash for fertilizer which they need to grow crops. Canada won’t be interested in making trade deals with an unstable partner.

Another point re tariff fallout hitting US economy is that many Canadians, who are really pissed right now at the US administration, will not step foot in the US to spend their money and many Canadians are boycotting American products.
It is no longer amusing to know that many people have no idea how tariffs work, i e who pays. It is sad that MAGA supporters do not understand that they, the US consumers and manufacturers, will pay higher prices on everything, lining the pockets of the very wealthy. US consumers will suffer.
