Prison slang for child molester. Not sure how the first syllable got to cho from child.

The difference is thst it is perfectly believable that the guards would allow other pedophiles to also kill themselves.

A conspiracy might dissipate under the obvious truth that prisons are purposefully cruel and drive lots of people to suicide, especially one destined for a particularly bad stay.

Eh ive never had trouble believing he *might have* killed himself. To quote @codyjohnston.bsky.social, he clearly made a bet hell isnt real. Chomos dont have an easy time in any prison.

That being said i am also firmly ready to beleive he was murdered. Both distinctly possible cases.

Politically its wise, but the agreement is the common voters have to be ashamed and pretend they were never maga. Any person who tries to rehabilitate portions of it has to get out, of my house, out of government and society.

And the people in the admin/Johnson have to bear the stink of it forever.

Crick seemed to think she would have been included (or alternatively that she would have won it in Chemistry for that and other x-ray crystallography work.)

Most donated plasma is not given to patients in the modern age. The plasma is separated and individual components are removed for use in biologics, i.e. medicines.

Im assuming that this process is quite effective at eliminating PFAS, any method selecting individual proteins will not select PFAS.

For example, on jackin' it, the first tradition would say "god said dont lust so you cant crank it or god is mad", and the second might say "even private lust makes another person into an object for our use, degrading their dignity."

Though the second is in general a lot less concerned about it.

The other tradition fundamentally believes creation is good, it just needed some help. The faith is expressed in relationships, tends to be more focused on helping others. Suffering is a part of existence, and our role is to help each other through it towards the promised better life.

But I think this is the fundamental question.

The sin-focused Christians ("holiness") in my binary), the inheritors of the Puritans' legacy, fundamentally view the world as something to be escaped, and the work of this life is to prepare for the next. Christian Nationalists are in this branch...

Child rearing taught me that both sass and vulgar indignation at perceived impoliteness precede language acquisition. Our brains, literally evolved to use and learn language, are even more hard wired to wordlessly tell someone they need to bring it down 50% AT LEAST.

A most important bit of leftist theory. (Agreeing with you).

Against the Logic of the Guillotine
Fetishizing the guillotine is like fetishizing the state: it means celebrating an instrument of murder that will always be used chiefly against us.

Its not even close to ALWAYS the problem.

Lol @ trad caths.

CNs: "your saints are demons, your pope is an antichrist"

TCs: "No we like the idea of papacy but we hate this pope because hes poping wrong".

CNs: "you are all idolaters damned to hell."

For real!

"This teacher, who teaches a complex subject at a high level, gives out too many A's!"

IDK my dudes maybe that prof is a good teacher. Maybe, because of dedication and constant self-growth, they excel at the thing you pay them to do.

Well that also might be an expanded lore problem.

If you dont read outside the main trilogy, your only exposure might be "Faramir had none of the flaws of Boromir cause he had better genes". Which is uncharitable but also Gandalf is just wrong.

2.) Is a large problem!

It doesnt help that you get someone like Rowling who reveals themselves to be quite a mean spirited, which for me did render a lot of stuff in HP suddenly problematic.

Or Heinlein...

Then we start to apply those examples backwards onto someone like Tolkein.

How much of the protestations about Tolkiens racism is actually from Jackson's visual imagery. Im thinking specifically of southern men, obviously North Africa coded in Jackson's trilogy. But is it so unsubtle in the original?

Had the same question, there is nothing in the news about it.

Its not particularly recent, but Eric Schlossers Command and Control. Its about safety around nuclear weapons in the states, framed by a retelling of the Damascus Accident.

Very interesting topic and painstakingly researched but the books genius is Schlosser's prose. Just a phenomenal story teller.

Of the nationally syndicated ones, only Athletic has proven its quality.

I will say Heineken NA does a faithful recreation of a Heineken. Like if thats your thing.
