I'd imagine (or hope) that insurance companies are covered by catastrophe bonds to allow them to cover the enormous costs of this. Investors will lose a lot of money, but that's what these bonds are there for.

Looking from the outside in, I have to say I rather regret what has become of America.

I actually sold a load of shares because of the gains last week, I thought there'd be a correction this week. My timing was unusually impeccable 😲 Not sure it has bottomed out yet. Will reinvest when it does.
