I could absolutely see tripping through a cord (nailed a few of those myself), falling into something, or etc. In the ICU it never happens essentially because they are way up and almost behind our monitor setup. I may need to go physically look and see where they are in some of the older wards.

Updating some of my slides for my resident lecture today... It's no fun if you don't occasionally add some Easter eggs. I think they're going to laugh, but the question is whether it's because it's funny or just giving #hellofellowkids :) #Meded #Medsky

IDK, maybe it's me, but a hippie in overalls, DJ biceps, and a grooving black due tearing up the guitar playing pleasant but generic indie pop should not have the word "Goth" in the band name lol. I knew a lot of goth kids in HS, and man, this ain't them. #LiveMusic 🎵

A small thing of beauty and an homage to Dale Chihuly, a brilliant artist, who graced the medical school I went to with a 15ish foot blown glass double helix and the children's museum I grew up with (and have been fortunate to share w/my kids) with a gorgeous 3+story installation. #Medsky #Pulmsky

I keep telling myself to post more here and contribute to the community, so here we go. I wanted to have a bunch of lungs in different artistic mediums and styles to hang in my office. After not finding anything already existing, I started experimenting. I hope people enjoy them. #Pulmsky #Medsky

I decided to subscribe to @gqmagazine.bsky.social again after stopping in medical school. I want to catch up w/trends, etc. As a thank you, they sent me a bucket hat? I don't want to be rude but coming from GQ I'd think it was an April Fools joke that was just late in the mail. Are these on trend?

I know that running clinical trials is hard, thankless work. But I'm reading the #RENOVATE RCT and I don't see a stratification or comparison of obesity in groups comparing NIV versus high flow nasal cannula, and that seems to me like it would be the mother of all confounders. 1/3 #Medsky #Pulmsky

Having a GI bug is approximately zero fun. I haaaaaate being sick. I don't know if it's a doctor thing or what, but it's not just the "feeling bad" part, just conceptually I hate it.

Friday 📷 #photography break! Sunset and moonrise in one panorama with storm clouds on the horizon, shot at the southern most point of #Sanibel, FL. If you've never been, they're still rebuilding after the hurricanes, but it's well worth the visit. Much of the island is a nature preserve.
