Excellent article Andrew. Removing Starmer would badly damage the Labour government while the alternative candidates are as unconvincing as those he defeated for the leadership. Three years or so is a very long time in politics. He’ll remain in office until the voters in a GE make their judgement.

Excellent appraisal Andrew of the current state of the Conservative Party. People don’t expect the Tories to care but they did trust them to look after their money.

A welcome and overdue appraisal of Ed Davey’s leadership, Andrew. “…easier to see the opposition than the construction.”

Excellent analysis of a complex issue Andrew. “Leaky bucket” indeed. Your Sunday column complements the equally informative output from ‘ Sunday Supplement’ on BBC Radio Wales. Forget the Sunday morning TV interviews.

Clearly set out as ever, Andrew. “For the Tories sorry remains the hardest word.” Spot on

Balanced and realistic comments as always, Andrew. There’s little if any room for manoeuvre money-wise. Nor any realistic alternative to Starmer as PM or Reeves as CoE. What they do have is plenty of time.

So relieved you’re still with the Observer, Andrew. First thing I turn to every Sunday and have done so for many, many years. This week’s article spot on as ever.

Typically perceptive column, Andrew. Campaigning is easy. Governing is not.
