For real the solidarity! My buddy saw it in Salinas, CA, and told me that when Bob asks the Latino guys on the side of the road which way the truck went toward the end of the movie, then does the Mexican whistles thing to them as he drives off, the crowd went nuts. It’s a movie we *need.*

It’ll go down as the defining text of the Trump era/2020s for sure. Incredible. Saw it on Thursday, then again on Friday.

I mean, “revenge movies“ are one of the most popular loose genres of the past few decades, from Kill Bill to John Wick to Sisu. I feel we all leaned pretty hard into revenge being sweet (if not destructive) as the world has fallen further into chaos and despair.
