Full hands, so I couldn't take good pictures, but I was in Elk Grove, CA for #NoKings 2.0!!! Not a bad turn out for a suburb! I was happy not to have to deal with Sacramento traffic/parking.

It's been a long day, and yup I definitely look like shit. Going back to school is going to be tougher than I thought. But it's amazing how well a plate of delicious al pastor tacos (shout out to Tacos Alebrije) and reading one of my favorite banned books (Awakening, by Kate Chopin) boosts the soul.

Board games, horror movies, and hot wings. All in all, not a bad way to spend a weekend. But alas, Monday creeps relentlessly forward, rudely encroaching on my Sunday evening by making me mentally prepare for a whole-ass five days of work.

I love my commute. It's very tranquil. Some days I'm almost convinced there is a whole world of pink sky just out of my reach, and if I iust keep going, I can get there.

This shelf is my most photogenic, although the hallway is narrow so it's hard to get a nice shot. The large ones in the main rooms are stacked 2 deep and often have books crammed in vertically across the top, making it very chaotic. I do have a cool spinning nightstand that is a small bookcase.
