I signed up to go to the protest in Frederick today, but unfortunately my broken ankle put a stop to that. 😞 This was the shirt I was going to wear. If you protested today, THANK YOU for standing up for ALL our rights! I stand with you (metaphorically for now). ❤️ 🤍💙 💪

The orthopedist took more x-rays and confirmed my “fracture of the lateral malleolus of the fibula.” I must keep resting & wearing the immobilizing boot. Fractures generally take about 6 to 8 weeks to heal. I don’t need surgery, thankfully! Don’t think I’ll be driving for at least another month.

I was rushing into work on Monday morning when I very gracefully tripped over a curb & fell. Now I have a “nondisplaced fracture of the lateral malleolus of the fibula” (a broken right ankle). My first broken bone. Pardon my language, but it hurts like the dickens!! (And this was my good ankle!) 😩

Sweet Sophie on March 21st. ❤️ Took her to the vet today for an ultrasound — she’s been vomiting almost every day 😕 Still has a great appetite, though! We should get the ultrasound results on Monday or Tuesday. She turns 18 on June 1st! 🎉😻

This is the fifth time in the past few weeks that a random bird has somehow gotten into our screened-in porch (the “catio”) & can’t remember how to get back out! Fuzz & Jacques love it — for them it’s like watching an exciting show on TV!
