A reminder that degrees are not a statistical proxy for class. This is terrible, pseudo-sociology. (Kirk's wealth has been estimated at $12 million.)

But what I'm mostly struck by is the "feminisation" of education, especially universities — and his use of "muscular class" in so doing.

Reminiscing... A very long time ago, I came across Trevor Pateman's edited collection, Countercourse in a second-hand bookstore. (I lent it to someone, and can't find a copy now)
