Critical thinking is self-imposed intellectual bureaucracy. Fact checking shouldn't be treated like red tape. It's all necessary to maintain order, maximize efficiency, and eliminate favoritism.

Reaching across the political aisle to come to some consensus about reality so we can move on together with a shared understanding of what's real is feeling less patriotic and more like free therapy.

If I donate to two charities that stand in opposition to each other, do I still get to virtue signal for having donated to charities? Also: why can't we just raise taxes and vote on what to do with the money instead?
