Found out yesterday that Syria still recognizes places like Abkhazia. Just not under Russia's umbrella.

> And since Moscow had by then almost completely lost its former leverage over Damascus, the visit was arranged solely between Syria and Abkhazia.

Syria still recognizes Abkhazia. Why?
Why does Syria still recognise Abkhazia’s independence after the change of power? Opinion.

@richardgarriott.bsky.social Something I used to do in Serpent Isle in the 90s. These maps make the perfect bricks for building a house. Build one outside Monitor, run in and swat a guard for fun then run outside, quickly wall up the house with maps and go to sleep as he rages outside 😆

@anderspucknielsen.dk I'm curious, have any countries explored this idea at all?

1. European country signs deal to expand into Ukraine + build a factory
2. Gets Skyranger(s) to ensure that it does not get hit (company owns it but Ukrainians operate)
3. Space up to 4 km around the area now protected

This part of the year in Seoul is pretty fun as the day length is now shrinking at a more rapid rate and you can just start to see the bottom begin to fall out of the hideously hot summer. Just a beginning of a beginning but it's still visible.

🍜 Procedural macros in #rustlang

Pretty sure you have all used #[derive] macros for Debug, Clone, Serialise, etc. But did you know you can write your own? Why would that be useful?

While procedural macros can be a bit intimidating at first, they are super powerful.

Let's make them simpler 🧵👇

Persian is an absolute delight to learn, Indo-European but no grammatical gender for nouns, verbs are incredibly regular. Sounds very soft too. It only *looks* intimidating because of the script.
