This was a great episode! The one thing I’d have liked to see deeper digging on is their stance on the issues where MTG is breaking from Trump. They dissed her pretty hard and my hypothesis is that this reaction was a MAGA reflex but if you asked about Epstein or healthcare they’d agree with MTG.

Also a HEAPING cup of choc chips is probably more like 1.5-2 cups at this point (this version of the recipe is 20 years old) for optimal firmness of the mousse when serving. Chill the choc mix overnight to help with that, too.

That can cut both ways. MAGA hopes that attacking her will make others fear to not stay on side lest they face the same. Anti-MAGA hopes that her being attacked will remind people of that poem, “First they came for the…” and realize they better stand up now before there’s no one left to stand.

Bottom line, I appreciate her speaking out, I wish she and everyone else weren’t experiencing these types of attacks, and I hope moving forward she will have the integrity to call it out when she’s sees others being attacked in this way, even if they aren’t her political allies.

I agree. Our country needs us all to demand an end to political threats/violence. I simultaneously think folks would find it easier to be more welcoming if it seemed like she had a bit more self-awareness that in the past she has participated in/encouraged the sort of attacks she’s now experiencing.

Have reduced the number of cookies to 8-12 over the years. Especially if double stuffed.
Now use instant espresso instead of coffee powder which we can no longer get here.
And can confirm it is good with other liqueurs (skip coffee powder) but Kahlua is my favorite.

The “suspenders for when the belt breaks” legal maneuvering reminds me of Bondi’s “ratifying” Halligan’s actions (and today ratifying her previous ratification) because Halligan’s appointment is probably unlawful. Seems illegal action with a side of CYA is an epidemic in this administration.

Isn’t the grand jury transcript still incomplete though? Didn’t Judge Currie say it ended around 4:30 while an earlier filing (not before Currie) say the grand jury had returned the indictments at around 6:50? That would be more than 2 hours of missing transcript and possibly at a significant point.
