It’s always a bit depressing when a game goes from fully holiday themed back to completely normal in the blink of an eye. Since it’s Halloween, it feels like a good time to bring up the fact that, growing up, a Silent Hill/Purge-like siren would play at 6pm and 8pm to signal the start and end of trick-or-treating.
It wasn’t until very recently that I realized this was not something everyone experienced.

I’ve been updating my Slack status with an “October Fright” every day this whole month. One coworker picked up on it right away. Another laughed at it once but said he hadn’t noticed the other days. No one else has said anything about them.

Real “first world problems” but if you’re going to put technology in cars (e.g., Apple CarPlay), that technology should function *at least* as well as it did in previous years’ car models. Trying to improve or add features only to break existing ones leads to incredibly needless frustration.
