I am a commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission. Earlier today, the president attempted to illegally fire me. This is corruption, plain and simple. I will see the president in court. My full statement:

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

The disinformation spread by conservatives around net neutrality is a study in how people are willing to abandon critical thinking if their political idols tell them to. The framing of net neutrality as government censorship is patently absurd, yet pervasive in conservative discourse.
I don’t think people understand how devastating the end of net neutrality, and consumer protections around internet connectivity, are going to be. Imagine the situation where you pay for 4 or 5 different streaming services, each with different “exclusives” — but for the Internet itself.

A lot of people think everything will work out if we just play by the rules but don’t seem to recognize that rules only matter when everyone agrees to follow them and, well, that isn’t our present reality.
