of course generative AI can be used positively, but seeing people my age use it for every little thing without fact checking, as well as to make art/music, it is hard to look at it with any positivity

i feel like i’m at “all generative AI is bad.” i just graduated from college and it’s hard to have nuance in this when i’m watching my peers make themselves dumber using AI. they’re not learning how to do things on their own (research/citations/outlines/etc) and are becoming reliant

my public school tuition is going to be $13000 with a scholarship next year. yay usa
