No.

Just emails. All day.

Oh. How’s that?

I'm one of the four fired employees. I was a writer & producer at Bon Appétit for nearly five years, during which I helped organize our union and sat on our bargaining committee.

I am, to my knowledge, the only trans woman in our union and the only trans woman on editorial who doesn't work at Them
New: Conde Nast fired four employees who were among a group that confronted the company's head of human resources on Wednesday over the decision to fold Teen Vogue into Vogue/recent cuts. Employees who were fired included journalists from the New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appétit.

Steven Gerrard's remarks deeply revealing on #England #football. I covered the 'Golden Generation' - Beckham, WAGS, Sven etc at #WorldCup 2002 in Korea/Japan, #Euro2004 in Portugal, #WorldCup2006 Germany. V overrated team. Didn't even qualify for #Euro2008

Saw #Sapian at #TIFF50 & It's kind-of brilliant. A quirk or a cheat here/there. But captures strangeness of Roy Keane (Éanna Hardwicke) & battles with Mick McCarthy (Steve Coogan, great) & climactic scene is scathingly about Irish identity. #COYBIG #Ireland

Also: People don't seem to realize that "thumbs up, thumbs down" (esp. numerical rating systems) are not the way good critics, like the ones NYT reassigned, prefer to approach most reviews. Context, analysis and synthesis are more rewarding for the writer, too. They also take more time and knowledge
So I guess there was a meeting about the critics' reshuffle at the NYT and people are (rightly) pissed. I just want to point out one thing about the statement from leadership, bc it's really bothering me. It's this:
