The problem is, the average person - not medically or science literate - literally thought COVID died when mask mandates were lifted, years ago. For most folks, “during COVID” means the VIRUS is past tense. Acknowledging you can still get it, (cont’d)

Life is random and we are fragile and the sooner nondisabled people make peace with that, the better.

Of course, now we’re five years deep in a pandemic that nondisabled people refuse to try to mitigate because they can’t handle the idea, so I don’t have a ton of hope.
