Oh 100% sure this was a common thing during night games back when the lighting wasn't as good and signs were hard to pick up.

His peak statistically was nowhere near Sandy's - I mean very few ever got to that level when starters were still important and bullpens hadn't taken over - but his cultural impact is undeniable and that is more long-lasting IMO.

They tried that in the episode with the nuclear test stuff where he was the one who figured out it wasn't the Iranians who did it. But that's about it really.
